Something very strange is happening in Bama Tru Ballers' Land.  They are on a serious roll.  The Bama Tru Ballers have defeated their last two opponents by 20 points while holding them under 60 points.  The Hawks have loss close games and are having a difficult time assessing and correcting shortfalls that will result in wins, yet we are still questioning if the Bama Tru Ballers are as good as they seem to be.

On 13 June 2016, we got to see the Bama Tru Ballers play against another experienced team (the NHA Hawks), 8:00 p.m.., at North Highland Assembly of God's Church Gymnasium.  The Bama Tru Ballers won the tip-off and missed their first shot attempt.  The Hawks got possession of the basketball and proceeded on a 14 - 4 run by the time the clock reached 14:24 of the first half.  Ernest Adams (#34) hit Bama with 13 points and Kenyatta Hardge (#11) added 9 points to lead the NHA Hawks to a 27 - 22 point first half.  No one, from the Bama Tru Ballers, scored more than 8 first half points.  Cleotis "No Limit Soldier" Brown accounted for 8 points and David Hardge (#96) contributed 7 points to help keep the Bama Tru Ballers in the game.  The Hawks committed five team fouls and the Bama Tru Ballers committed four team fouls.  I saw a lot of the old Bama Tru Ballers in the first half and was patient enough to see what each team would do during the second half.

The second half started with the Hawks having possession that resulted in Kenyatta Hardge going to the foul line for two shots.  He made both free throws giving the Hawks a 29 - 22 lead.  Then all of a sudden, the Bama Tru Ballers began to wake up and realized that they were there to play basketball and starting scoring to tie the score at 34, 37, and 41.  They actually possessed the lead at 37 and 41.  From that point, Bama switched into their beast mode and held the Hawks to three 3-pointers, four 2-pointers, and nine foul shots for the half.  Cleotis Brown (#00) led Bama with 23 second half points (12 points from 3-point range).  The rest of the team scored on five 3-pointers and seven 2-pointers.  To simplify the scoring, for the second half, the Bama Tru Ballers outscored the Hawks 52 - 28.  Again, they held their third opponent to a score below 60 points while they racked up an average lead of 20 points to end the game.  The final score was 74 - 55.  The Bama Tru Ballers committed 12 team fouls and Cleotis Brown fouled out with 1 technical foul.  The Hawks' center, Roderick Williams, also fouled out along with one technical foul.  The Hawks committed six team fouls.

The scorers for the Bama Tru Ballers were:  #00 Cleotis Brown with 31 points, #96 David Hardge with 9 points, #44 Christopher Watson with 8 points, #3 Darrell Willis with 8 points, #13 Navarro Davis with 7 points, #5 Alaster Anderson with 6 points, and #23 Alphonzo Jukes with 5 points.

The scorers for the NHA Hawks were:  #34 Ernest Adams with 24 points, #11 Kenyatta Hardge with 16 points, #21 Frank Wilcox with 10 points, #9 Michael Smith with 3 points, and #25 Roderick Williams with 2 points.

The Bama Tru Ballers are for real and sending a serious message to the league that they playing to win.  I hear you, Bama!!!
