I had to sit back and examine the Bama Tru Ballers before writing this commentary because they deserve a write-up with the right tone.  They have caught the league by surprise with their dominance, over the past two games.  On 9 June 2016, they defeated the Nets by 20 points - then they turned around and did the same to the Bulls on 11 June.  A few comments back, I mentioned that Cleotis Brown could stabilize the Bama Tru Ballers, but I had no idea it would translate into dominating top teams by 20 points.  The "team of players" are truly on the same sheet of music.  There is a movement of solidarity in their camp and I am happy to see it.

On 11 June, the Bulls and Bama Tru Ballers returned to North Highland Assembly of God's Church Gymnasium to show where they are at this point of the season.  While the (6 - 8) Bulls are searching for answers to their recent losses, the Bama Tru Ballers are sending strong signals to all teams and the league that they are a force to be reckoned with.  I am getting the message and it is clear.  At this point, I am looking for the Bulls to recapture their chemistry and show us the team that we are accustomed to seeing.  They are becoming more fragmented with each loss because each player is trying to make an individual effort to turn things around.  The Bulls need to find a way to melt those individual efforts into "One Team".  I believe they can do it, but when?

The starting lineup, for the Bulls, consisted of:  #33 Ian Trowers, #22 James Dix, #10 Desi Johnson, #23 James Daniels, and #11 Bernard Jones.  The starting lineup, for the Bama Tru Ballers, consisted of:  #00 Cleotis "No Limit Soldier" Brown, #13 Navarro Davis, #11 Michael Johnson, #3 Darrell Willis, and #96 David Hardge.

The game started with the Bama Tru Ballers attacking the Bulls fast and quick with a barrage of 3-pointers.  Four players scored a total of 30 points from 3-point range.  That completely caught the Bulls off-guard and had them scrambling for answers, but they could not come fast enough.  The Bulls were able to accumulate 6 points from outside the arc.  James Daniels put up 10 hard points to try to keep Bulls in it, but the Bama Tru Ballers held the rest of the Bulls to scoring not more than five points.  The Bulls used three timeouts and the Bama Tru Ballers used two.  Neither team committed a lot of fouls.  The Bulls committed one team foul and the Bama Tru Ballers committed three.  The Bama Tru Ballers followed their leader, Cleotis "No Limit Soldier" Brown, and matched his intensity to win.  Brown led his team with 14 first half points (two 3-pointers).  He was joined by #11 Michael Johnson with 12 points (four 3-pointers), #13 Navarro Davis with 10 points (two 3-pointers), #3 Darrell Willis with 6 points (two 3-pointers), and #96 David Hardge with 3 points.  Bama dropped points from everywhere to lead the first half 45 - 22.

The second half was much closer, but the deficit of the first was too steep for the Bulls to run out of.  The Bulls actually outscored Bama in the second half 37 - 34 behind the scoring of #23 James Daniels with 13 points and #22 James Dix with 12 points.  The Bulls' center, Ian Trowers, scored 6 points along with giving his team every inch of motivation.  He encouraged them to play winning basketball to the end.  The Ballers', Cleotis Brown, clearly put the team on his back as he stormed through the Bulls with 15 second half points.  Navarro Davis added 6 points to push the Bama Tru Ballers over the Bulls 79 - 59.  The Bulls committed four team fouls and the Bama Tru Ballers committed six team fouls.

The scorers, for the Bulls, were:  #23 James Daniels with 23 points, #22 James Dix with 17 points, #33 Ian Trowers with 8 points, #10 Desi Johnson with 7 points, and #11 Bernard Jones with 4 points.

The scorers, for the Bama Tru Ballers, were:  #00 Cleotis Brown with 37 points, #13 Navarro Davis with 16 points, #11 Michael Johnson with 12 points, #3 Darrell Willis with 9 points, and #96 David Hardge with 5 points.
