On 31 May 2016, the Nets and NHA Hawks played in the second and final game of the evening at North Highland Assembly of God's Church gymnasium.  Both teams represent the Western Division with the Nets leading the division with 10 - 2 record.  The Hawks are still searching for answers with a 5 - 7 record. 

The game started with the Nets winning the tip-off and the show was on.  Tony Reese, Rodney Patrick, and Lamont Shuford were determined to lead the Nets to victory with 12 points coming from #42 Reese.  Rodney Patrick scored 9 points and Lamont Shuford scored 6 points.  Both teams had six players in the scoring column.  The Hawks were led by #4 Kevin Douglas with 12 points.  No other Hawk scored more than five points.  As the teams moved closer to halftime, they shared a tie score at 28, before the Nets went on a 7 - 2 run to end the half 35 - 30.  The Nets committed four team fouls and the Hawks committed five team fouls.

The second half was all about business as both teams attacked each other for every point and rebound.  Tony Reese and Patrick cooled down and handed over the hot hands to #40 Keith LaFavor and #32 Willie Walker who combined for 17 points.  Lamont Shuford contributed with 9 points.  The Hawks did very well in the second half by outscoring the Nets 30 - 26 with scoring from six players.  Yohance Thompson (#23), #34 Ernest Adams, and #25 Roderick Williams combined for 22 of the Hawks points.  The scores were tied at 47 and 49 with the advantage leaning towards the Hawks, but turnovers and slow reactions to open players would leave room for Shuford and the crew to recover.  The game ended with Will Walker scoring two points and getting fouled at the buzzer.  The made foul shot lifted the Nets over the Hawks 61 - 60.  The Nets committed seven team fouls and the Hawks committed six team fouls.

The Nets' scorers were: #45 Lamont Shuford with 15 points, #42 Tony Reese with 11 points, #30 Rodney Patrick with 11 points, #32 Willie Walker with 9 points, #40 Keith LaFavor with 8 points, #25 Trea Tells with 4 points, and #00 Willie Filmore with 3 points.

The Hawks' scorers were: #4 Kevin Douglas with 16 points, #25 Roderick Williams with 10 points, #34 Ernest Adams with 9 points, #23 Yohance Thompson with 9 points, #11 Kenyatta Hardge with 7 points, #0 Michael Smith with 6 points, and #21 Frank Wilcox with 3 points.
