On 23 May 2016, the Heat and Bama Tru Ballers returned to the North Highland Assembly of God's Gymnasium for their second meeting of NOSBL XVI.  They were scheduled to the 7:00 PM game.  Both teams are introducing new players to their teams and making adjustments to the starting lineup and personnel substitutions.

The starting five for the Heat were:  #4 Bryan Short, #8 Antonio Anthony, #11 Norman King, Jr., #15 Johnny Sanchez, and #27 Christopher Alexander.  The starting five for the Bama Tru Ballers were:  #8 Jeffery Lemon, #13 Navarro Davis, #23 Alphonzo Jukes, #32 Tony Moses, and #96 Davis Hardge.

The Heat received the first possession from the tip-off.  The Bama Tru Ballers started well by attacking the Heat.  The Heat's starting five did not seem to have a handle on their assigned positions.  At times, three players were waiting to receive the inbound pass.  The Bama Tru Ballers started the game with their primary focus on #00 Cleotis Brown leading the offense.  He led the Bama Tru Ballers with 11 first half points.  Things began to settle down, for the Heat's offense, when #17 Felton Scott entered the game.  Scott led the Heat with 7 first half points.  Both teams communicated well and used multiple defensive schemes to keep their opponent off-guard.  The Heat committed five team fouls and the Bama Tru Ballers committed seven team fouls.  The Heat scored two points off free-throws and the Bama Tru Ballers scored three points.  The only time the two teams tied was at 7 points.  The Bama Tru Ballers led at the half: 27 - 26.

The second half produced more points for the Heat, behind the shooting of #11 Norman King, who led the Heat with 7 points.  The Heat also scored on three 3-pointers.  Cleotis "No Limit Soldier" Brown kept the Bama Tru Ballers in the game with 14 second half points.  Both teams ended the second half tied at 52 when Cleotis Brown scored on a 2-point layup.  The Heat scored another 26-points to end the second half and the Bama Tru Ballers scored 25 second half points.

The Heat's, Michael Brown, entered the overtime period discussing a previous call by the officials.  That turned into a lot of wasted energy because the officials were not going to reverse the call.  The Heat scored 16 overtime points versus 9 by the Bama Tru Ballers.  The Heat committed 16 team fouls and the Bama Tru Ballers committed 14 team fouls in the second half (to include overtime).  The game ended with the Heat 68 and the Bama Tru Ballers 61.  It was a very exciting game and the NOSBL "Fanmily" was great!!

The scorers for the Heat were:  #3 Michael Brown with 14 points (6 in OT), #8 Antonio Anthony with 3 points, #11 Norman King with 13 points, #13 Donald Brophy with 2 points, #15 Johnny Sanchez with 6 points, #17 Felton Scott with 15 points (5 in OT).  #24 Sidney Dowlen (2 in OT), #27 Christopher Alexander with 3 points, and #33 Otis Lewis with 3 points in OT.
