#00 Cleotis Brown (aka No Limit Soldier) joined the 76ers, for NOSBL XVI, following his debut season with the Bama Tru Ballers during NOSBL XV.  This move clearly makes the 76ers the largest team (by size) in the National Old School Basketball League.  He is joining forces with Lester Hood, who is the most dominant forward/center in the history of the National Old School Basketball League.  Lester has led the 76ers to four championship titles and several runner-up along with two division titles.  Brown is also joining another dominant "Blocking Monster" Willie Tennyson.  These three players are highly skilled basketball players standing at an average of 6' 7".

Lester Hood has stepped back to allow Brown to get acclimated with the team and he delivered by scoring 26 points (8 three-pointers) against the Bama Tru Ballers, in the season opener, on 16 April 2016.  Then he returned, last evening (28 April), to score 24 points against the NHA Hawks.  Lester Hood supported Brown and the team with 14 points.  Though the 76ers are comprised of the biggest players with extremely good talent, they will have to show that they can run with the smaller teams.  The NHA Hawks gave the 76ers a run for their money by keeping the scores low and within reach.  The Hawks', #4 Kevin (KD) Douglas led his team with 14 points.  The Hawks' problem was turnovers from bad passing and time-wasted dribbling.  While the Hawks gave up turnover after turnover, the 76ers capitalized with scoring to extend their lead.

This game was all about trust and team play.  The 76ers are known for selfless ball distribution.  If you are not willing to pass to open players or to swing the ball for a better shot, you will find yourself sitting on the bench until you are willing to "Share your ball with others".  The Hawks must learn that lesson and use it in order to have the kind of success they are expecting.  The 76ers defeated the Hawks 57 - 47.

The scorers for the 76ers were: #00 Cleotis Brown with 24 points, #45 Lester Hood with 14, #24 Tony Campbell with 6, #15 Marcus Watkins with 5, #32 Willie Jackson with 5, and #34 Willie Tennyson with 3 points.

The scorers for the NHA Hawks were:  #16 Kevin Douglas with 16 points, #25 Roderick Williams with 9, #23 Yohance Williams with 8, #34 Ernest Adams with 7, and #11 Kenyatta Hardge with 7 points.
