Tim Sanks (#23) scores 41 and Steve Woodson (#2) scores 15 and owned the paint in the Celtics 109 to 76 victory over the Heat on 23 April 2016 at North Highland Assembly of God's Church Gymnasium.  Tim Sanks made 19 two point shots and three free throws to score to total his 41 game points.  Jerel Jackson (#24) continued his amazing accuracy, from three point range, by making nine straight 3-pointers of a total 11 along with one freethrow and one 2-pointer to score 36 points.  Steve Woodson (#2) is continuing where he left off from last season: Controlling the defensive and offensive rebounds for the defending champions.  Not only did he dominate the boards, in yesterday's game, he stepped out and dropped four 3-pointers to showoff his total game.

As for the Heat, I watched a group of guards play "Shoot'em If You Got'em".  With all the new talent and restructuring of the Heat, it was shocking to see a team that was only seven points behind at the half (45 - 38) become a team that focused on "Shooting Before looking".  This team has players and talent, but unfortunately yesterday, talent trumped teamwork.  I wanted to see them substantiate their improved season by showing the league that they can share the ball for the sake of competition and winning.  I watched the team setup a zone defense 15 feet from the basket while the Celtics' (Jerel Jackson) dropped 11 of the team's 18 shots from beyond 20 feet.  The greatest thing about the Heat is that they communicate with each and I expect to see a different group at their next game.

The other scorers for the Celtics were: #1 Al Wilson and Christopher None with 4 points and #0 Jerald Mahone with 9 points.

The scorers for the Heat were: #3 Mike Brown with 11 points, #11 Norman King with 9, #14 Tim Elder with 20, #15 Johnny Sanchez with 12, #8 Antonio Anthony with 13, and #13 Donald Brophy with 8 points.

The Celtics defeated the Heat 109 - 76.
