The Celtics and Bombers competed in the second game of the evening on 19 December 2016.  They both represent the Eastern Division.  The Celtics reported with a record of 8 - 5 and the Bombers reported with a record of 6 - 9.

The Celtics won the tip-off followed by two points from James Daniels (#20) to get the action started.  The Bombers responded with three (3) points, from James Dix (#10), to ignite the Bombers' early momentum.  The Celtics tied the score, at 10, then took the lead at 12 to go on a 23 - 15 point run.  Six Celtics scored in the first half with (#24) Jerel Jackson leading the team with 11 points.  Christopher None (#15) and James Daniels (#20) added six (6) individual points to boost the Celtics pass the scrappy Bombers.  Though the Celtics outrebounded the Bombers 17 - 13, the Bombers was the more aggressive team in the areas of assists, blocked shots, and steals.  Jovan Ingersoll (#12) gave the Bombers their scoring boost with eight (8) points.  The Celtics led the Bombers, at the half, 33 - 25.

The second half was full of lead changes and tied scores as the Bombers ramped up their defense to attack the Celtics guards.  The Bombers seemed to have discovered a weakness in the Celtics' armor.  Whenever the ball was away from Christopher None, they would attack that ball handler.  That strategy caused the Celtics a lot of missed shots and turnovers that led to an early 18 - 10 run, by the Bombers, to tie the game at 43.  Both teams combined for seven (7) lead changes and five (5) ties with the last tie extending the game to overtime at 71.  The Bombers outscored the Celtics 48 - 36 and outrebounded them 10 - 9.  The Bombers' top scorers were (#38 Shederal Hughes with 15 points, (#32) Cleotis Brown with 10 points, and (#22) Jimmy Foster with 9 points.  The Celtics' top scorers were (#24) Jerel Jackson and (#20) James Daniels with 11 individual points, (#15) Christopher None with 10 points, and (#2) Steve Woodson with 6 points.

Both teams went into overtime tied at 71.  The Celtics scored first with two points from Steve Woodson.  Cleotis Brown responded with two points to put the Bombers on the scoreboard.  Brown would lead the Bombers with six (6) points.  Two of those points would come from free throws that put the Bombers ahead to defeat the Celtics 82 - 79.
