On Thursday, 8 December 2016, Shaun Jenkins (#33) led the Hawks to victory, over the Bulls, with 35 "hot" points.  His hands were on fire!  Aside from the remarkable shooting, by Jenkins, the game was fairly even.  The Hawks accumulated 32 rebounds, one block, 14 assists, and six (6) steals versus 29 rebounds, four (4) blocks, 15 assists, and seven (7) steals from the Bulls.  The separation had more to do with the Bulls' failure to draw contact, when left with mix matches down-low, by passing the ball back to the outside for a jump shot.  Those decisions caused the Bulls to play the entire game without scoring a free throw.

The first half clearly belonged to the Hawks with 25 points coming from Shaun Jenkins.  Though Bernard Jones (#11) and Troy McBride (#8) combined for 23 of the Bulls' points, the team was only able to muster 29 first half points to the Hawks' 43 points.  Not only did Shaun Jenkins lead the Hawks in scoring, but he added six (6) rebounds and two assists.  Ian Trowers (for the Bulls) was active in every category by grabbing eight (8) rebounds, four blocked shots, two (2) assists, and one (1) steal.

The second half was more of a defensive game for both teams.  The Bulls held the Hawks to 22 points and the Hawks held the Bulls to 28 points which favored the Hawks considering they led the Bulls by 14 points at the end of the first half.  The Bulls were effective at holding Jenkins to 10 second half points.  Trowers led the Bulls with 15 points in an effort to rally a comeback, but no other Bull scored more than four (4) points.  The Hawks remained "Battle Tough" to defeat the Bulls 65 - 57.

The scorers for the Bulls were:  (#10) Desi Johnson with 2 points, (#11) Bernard Jones with 17 points, (#34) Leo Preyer with 8 points, (#33) Ian Trowers with 17 points, and (#8) Troy McBride with 13 points.

The scorers for the Hawks were:  (#10) Frank Wilcox with 2 points, (#15) Kenyatta Hardge with 11 points, (#21) Trea Tells with 13 points, (#34) Ernest Adams with 4 points, and (#33) Shaun Jenkins with 35 points.
