James Daniels (#20) and Steve Woodson (#2) combined for 47 points and 27 rebounds to lead the Celtics over the Kingdom Ballers on Monday, 5 December 2016, 8:00 p.m., at North Highland Assembly of God Church Gymnasium.  I have published several commentaries regarding the major challenge facing the Kingdom Ballers - that is matching their first half scoring.  This has truly been their biggest struggle and it did not escape them against the Celtics.  They led the Celtics, at the end of the first half, 36 - 26, but dropped to 24 points to conclude the second half.  Any venture that requires teamwork must have a well thought-out plan.  There has to be an observation and strategy to combat your opponents' strengths, weaknesses, and matchups.  That is the major strength of the Celtics.

The game started with the Kingdom Ballers winning first possession that resulted in a turnover and 2-point transition for the Celtics.  The Kingdom Ballers immediately responded and tied the score.  The Celtics and Kingdom Ballers would go on to exchange leads four times and tie scores two times during their impressive first half performance.  The Kingdom Ballers had seven players to score during the first half with Lamont Shuford (#45), Willie Haynes (#31) and Antonio Harris (#22) leading the way with 25 of the team's 36 first half points.  The Celtics were lucky to have an active James Daniels (#20) on the floor to rebound and put back shots for 16 points (including two free throws).

The second half highlighted the strength of the Celtics and weakness of the Kingdom Ballers.  The Kingdom Ballers were able to get 10 points out of Lamont Shuford (#45) and no more than five points from Santonio Howard (#32) and Wason Davis (#21) in their effort to defeat the Celtics.  The Celtics attacked the Kingdom Ballers by controlling the rebounds and scoring from Christopher None (#15), Steve Woodson (#2) and James Daniels (#20).  Those three Celtics combined for 40 of the team's 42 second half points.  This was an exciting game that ended with the Celtics outperforming the Kingdom Ballers 68 - 60.

The scorers for the Kingdom Ballers were:  (#31) Willie Haynes with 9 points, (#5) Christopher Mathis with 3 points, (#22) Antonio Harris with 6 points, (#32) Santonio Howard with 7 points, (#10) Lamont Shuford with 20 points, (#34) Antonio Anthony with 3 points and (#21) Wason Davis with 9 points.

The scorers for the Celtics were:  (#15) Christopher None with 15 points, (#2) Steve Woodson with 21 points, (#1) Al Wilson with 2 points, (#00) Ralph Mathews with 4 points and (#20) James Daniels with 26 points.
