On Saturday, 3 December 2016, we had two struggling teams - with a lot of desire to win - competing to end their streak of losses.  The Bulls reported with 8 straight losses and the Nets with 11.  When I watch both teams play, I see two main differences:  (1) The Bulls need to figure out how to win and (2) The Nets need to figure out how to get along to win.

The game started with the Nets winning the tip-off and two free throw shots - scored by (#22) Jeffery Lemon.  Ian Trowers (#33) gave the Bulls their first opening with two points, but the Nets maintained a small lead.  The two players that scored first, for their respective team, also led their teams in scoring.  Jeffery Lemon led the Nets with seven (7) points and Ian Trowers led the Bulls with nine (9) points.  The Bulls eventually tied the score with the Nets at 16 followed by four lead changes that ended with the Bulls leading the first half with a 24 - 21 lead.

The second half started with the Bulls ahead 24 - 21 and they maintained a lead for the remainder of the game.  It was a low scoring game, but a highly competitive game.  With 17:55 remaining in the second half, the Bulls held a 28 - 21 lead.  The Nets had not scored since the end of the first half.  By 3:06, the Bulls and Nets made their strongest push by increasing the scores to 46 - 33.  As the remainder of the time expired, the Nets outscored the Bulls 11 points to 8, but it was too late.  The Bulls', Troy McBride (#8) would lead his team with four 3-pointers for 12 points.  Ian Trowers continued to play his role as the Bull's center with six (6) second half points.  The Bulls defeated the Nets 54 - 44 to end their eight game losing streak.

The scorers for the Nets were:  (#21) Keith LaFavor with 7 points, (#40) Willie Fillmore with 6 points, (#33) Darrell Willis with 2 points, (#32) Ramard Morgan with 8 points, (#14) Shawn Mathews with 6 points, (#45) Roderick Williams with 2 points, (#22) Jeffery Lemon with 7 points, and (#3) Calvin Staton with 6 points.

The scorers for the Bulls were:  (#33) Ian Trowers with 15 points, (#7) Quantez Franklin with 7 points, (#8) Troy McBride with 15 points, (#11) Bernard Jones with 3 points, (#24) Elliot Reid with 12 points, and (#10) Desi Johnson with 2 points.
