The second game, of 7 November 2016, was played between the Celtics and 76ers.  This would be their second of three meetings scheduled for season XVII.  These two teams account for 12 of 16 national titles of the NOSBL.  The 76ers have won four championship titles and the first team to 3-peat.  The Celtics have won eight championship titles and is the first and only team to go undefeated for a season with 22 wins and no losses.  The Celtics are the defending champions of NOSBL XVI.  This rivalry, between the Celtics and 76ers, is extremely different than that of the Heat and Kingdom Ballers.  These two teams are made up of the league's first group of "higher level" players that range from collegiate to international experiences.  Their games always reflected the level of play and intensity one would expect to see.  Now, the core players are introducing new players to their proud rivalry.

The first half started with the Celtics capturing the lead, at the score of three (3), from a free throw shot made by (#00) Ralph Mathews and they maintained that lead until the 76ers tied the score at 18.  The Celtics recaptured the lead at 20 and lost the lead, to the 76ers, at 28.  The 76ers took control of the game and maintained their lead through the remainder of the first half that ended 46 - 33.  Six players scored, for the Celtics, with (#24) Jerel Jackson leading the team with three 3-pointers for nine (9) points.  The 76ers were ready and attacking the Celtics with superb shooting from (#1) Tony Campbell with 12 point (four 3-pointers), (#230 Tim Sanks with 14 points, (#34) Willie Tennyson with 6 points, (#40) Brian Short with 2 points, and (#45) Lester Hood with 12 points (three 3-pointers).

The second half would become a different story as the Celtics huddled to get their game plan on-point.  Number one, the Celtics did not allow any 76ers player to score more than four (4) points, except for Tony Campbell with 12 points (three 3-pointers).  The Celtics raised their intensity on defense and scoring on offense.  Jerel Jackson scored 12 points (four 3-pointers), (#2) Steve Woodson with 5 points, (#15) Christopher None with 2 points, (#1) Al Wilson with 7 points, (#00) Ralph Mathews with 10 points, (#8) Jerald Mahone with 2 points, and (#20) James Daniels with 6 points.

The second half started with the 76ers leading the Celtics 46 - 33.  The Celtics went on an 18 to 5 run to take the lead, over the 76ers, at 51 points.  Then the teams would exchange leads at 52 (76ers), 54 Celtics, and 63/64(Celtics).  The scores were tied at 60 and 63 with 6:32 remaining in the game.  We had a serious battle going between these two teams.  The 76ers called their last timeout with 41.7 seconds remaining in the game and the score was 75 - 71.  The Celtics went on to defeat the 76ers 77 - 71.

The scorers for the 76ers were:  (#1) Tony Campbell with 24 points, (#23) Tim Sanks with 18 points, (#24) Marcus Watkins with 3 points, (#34) Willie Tennyson with 8 points, (#40 Brian Short with 6 points, and (#45) Lester Hood with 12 points.

The scorers for the Celtics were:  (#24) Jerel Jackson with 21 points (seven 3-pointers), (#2) Steve Woodson with 10 points, (#15) Christopher None with 2 points, (#1) Al Wilson with 12 points, (#00) Ralph Mathews with 15 points, (#8) Jerald Mahone with 5 points, and (#20) James Daniels with 12 points.
