This game started with a lot of energy Both teams find themselves in odd positions in the win and loss columns. The Celtics reported with a record of 3 - 4 and the Nets were 0 - 6. The Celtics scored on multiple rotations before the Nets began to respond with two (2) points coming from (#45) Roderick Williams. The game stayed close while the Celtics maintained a slight lead. At the beginning of the second half, the Nets took an early lead of 39 from a 3-point shot, but the Celtics responded with two 2-point shots to recapture the lead at 40 and never looked back. Jerel Jackson switched gears, for the Celtics, and scored 18 points from six 3-pointers to put a comfortable distance between themselves and the Nets. With 7:22 remaining in the game, the Celtics held a 68 - 47 point lead. By the time the clock reached 2:51, the Celtics were cruising into victory with a 77 - 47 point lead. Four players scored for the Nets with no one scoring more than six points. The Celtics defeated the Nets 77 - 54.
