This game started with a lot of energy  Both teams find themselves in odd positions in the win and loss columns.  The Celtics reported with a record of 3 - 4 and the Nets were 0 - 6.  The game started with the Celtics winning first possession and scoring two (2) points from Ralph Mathews.  The Celtics scored on multiple rotations before the Nets began to respond with two (2) points coming from (#45) Roderick Williams.  The game stayed close while the Celtics maintained a slight lead.  Six Celtics scored, in the first half, with (#24) Jerel Jackson leading the charge with 10 points along with nine (9) points from Ralph Mathews.  The Nets' Alaster Anderson (#5) led his team with 11 points with Keith LaFavor (#3) adding 10 points.  Five Nets' players scored in the first half.  With 11:09, remaining in the first half, the Celtics were holding a three point lead with a score of 15 - 12.  The Nets finally tied the score at 32; lost it at 33; and both teams ended the half tied at 36.

At the beginning of the second half, the Nets took an early lead of 39 from a 3-point shot, but the Celtics responded with two 2-point shots to recapture the lead at 40 and never looked back.  Jerel Jackson switched gears, for the Celtics, and scored 18 points from six 3-pointers to put a comfortable distance between themselves and the Nets.  With 7:22 remaining in the game, the Celtics held a 68 - 47 point lead.  By the time the clock reached 2:51, the Celtics were cruising into victory with a 77 - 47 point lead.  Four players scored for the Nets with no one scoring more than six points.  The Celtics defeated the Nets 77 - 54.

The scorers for the Nets were:  (#22) Jeffery Lemon with 12 points, (#45) Roderick Williams with 4 points, (#40) Willie Filmore with 8 points, (#5) Alaster Anderson with 17 points, and (#3) Keith LaFavor with 13 points.

The scorers for the Celtics were:  (#24) Jerel Jackson with 28 points, (#20) James Daniels with 11 points, (#00) Ralph Mathews with 14 points, (#8) Jerald Mahone with 3 points, (#1) Al Wilson with 8 points, and (#2) Steve Woodson with 13 points.
