The first game of 3 November 2016 was played between the 76ers and Bombers.  I expected this to be a good game becasue the Bombers were coming off a surprising loss against the Kingdom Ballers on 27 October.  That gave them their first loss of the season.  Meanwhile, the 76ers started the season on a losing streak, but have picked up the pace to enter the gym with a 3 - 2 record.

The game started with the 76ers receiving first possession.  The Bombers scored on a 3-point shot, taking the lead until both team tied at 14.  They would exchange leads four more times and tying the score two more times at 22 and 24.  The Bombers were led by #22 Jimmy "Champion" Foster with 11 points and Shederal Hughes with 10 first half points.  The Bombers score 24 points from 3-point range.  The 76ers only scored nine (9) points from 3-point range, but walloped the Bombers with 28 points from mid-range to rebound-and-putback shots.  Tim Sanks (#23) led the 76ers with 12 points.  Marcus Watkins joined in to contribute 11 points.  The first half ended with the 76ers leading 40 - 32.

Both teams raised the stakes in the second half.  The Bombers scored 36 points from 3-point range and the 76ers was able to squeeze in six (6) points from beyond the arc.  Jimmy Foster continued his scoring with 16 points and Shederal Hughes raised his hands for 19 points.  Both teams had six players involved in scoring.  The 76ers answered the Bombers with 38 points from midrange scoring with Willie Tennyson (#34) leading all scorers with 16 points.  Tim Sanks added 14 points and Brian Short (#40) contributed nine (9) points.  With 1:41 remaining in the game, the 76ers were ahead 81 - 72.  The Bombers were unable to reverse the deficit and suffered another loss.  The 76ers outscored the Bombers 49 - 46 and walked with a winning score of 89 - 78.

The scorers for the Bombers were:  (#22) Jimmy Foster with 27 points, (#5) Keith Bridges with 5 points, (#12) Javon Ingersoll with 3 points, (#3) Tony Moses with 3 points, (#33) Christopher Watson with 5 points, (38) Shederal Hughes with 29 points, and (#31) Demon Walker with 6 points.

The scorers for the 76ers were:  (#10)  Tony Flemming with 2 points, (#23) Tim Sanks with 26 points, (#34) Willie Tennyson with 22 points, (#45) Lester Hood with 10 points, (#24) Marcus Watkins with 16 points, and (#40) Brian Short with 13 points.
